Sounder’s Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Sounder accessible to everyone.
Accessibility statement last updated February 2026
At Sounder, we believe the web should be accessible to everyone. As a company that helps healthcare organizations achieve HIPAA compliance, we understand the importance of removing barriers—both regulatory and physical—that prevent people from accessing the information and services they need.
We are committed to ensuring our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We measure our site through manual audits and by using accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 and accessibility testing tools recommended by W3.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Tools We Use
We regularly test our website using:
- a11y Color Contrast Accessibility Validator
- WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool
- Screen reader testing (VoiceOver, NVDA)
- Keyboard-only navigation testing
- Manual audits against WCAG 2.1 criteria
Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is not a destination—it’s an ongoing journey.
Currently working on:
- Adding alt text to all images and graphics
- Improving keyboard navigation consistency
- Enhancing form error handling and validation messages
- Testing with additional assistive technologies
Our parent company’s credentials: Sounder is a compliance service of Pilot Digital Marketing, which has team members who are CPACC certified (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) through the International Association of Accessibility Professionals
Accessibility and Healthcare: Why This Matters to Us
As a company focused on healthcare compliance, we recognize that accessibility and compliance share a common goal: ensuring everyone can access the services and information they need without barriers.
Many of the healthcare organizations we serve also face website accessibility requirements. We practice what we preach—building accessible experiences isn’t just a legal requirement, it’s the right thing to do.
If you’re a healthcare organization interested in both HIPAA compliance and website accessibility, we’re happy to discuss how these requirements intersect.
